Our fully soundproofed, contemporary cinema room is superbly equipped with 55” Samsung Ultra HD television, Denon surround sound system, and Netflix plus other streaming services set up ready to go! This room has a comfortable double sofa bed with luxury mattress topper which transforms into the 5th bedroom, if needed for larger groups.

The beautifully appointed staircase ascends you gracefully up to the grand landing on the first floor with a contemporary feature chandelier. Followed by a large sophisticated lounge / reception room with stunning original plasterwork ceiling, art deco fireplace combined with retro furniture, huge comfortable sofas, fabulous lighting. And 50” Samsung TV. We have also created a kitsch cocktail bar area to fully enjoy the exceptional surroundings together.
Kitchen & Dining Room
Next door is the truly exceptional ‘Kesseler’ kitchen overlooking historic Micklegate, thoughtfully fitted with Neff appliances, wine fridge and every utensil imaginable for any culinary occasion. The rustic antique French table seats ten guests on opulent royal blue velvet chairs, connect to the Bose sound system to create the ambience for a sensational evening.

Opposite the kitchen you’ll find a utility room with washer dryer, ironing facilities, separate WC room and hand basin.

The house bathroom showcases our magnificent hand-made ‘Witt & Berg’ freestanding double-ended copper bath, with zinc plated interior and matt black exterior, set against peacock blue tiles, monochrome floors and a traditional high level toilet. You will definitely be in ‘style-heaven’ in this bathroom!
Bedroom 1 – Large En-Suite
The final entrance on this floor leads through an elegant arch into the jaw-dropping, master bedroom, which is fully panelled and finished with ‘Little Greene’ matt charcoal paintwork surrounding stunning ‘Farrow and Ball’ wallpaper panels.This bedroom has a luxurious, velvet, superking bed, a walk-in wardrobe, stunning French antique furniture, and a gorgeous shower room with wonderfully soft white linens, towels, bathrobes, slippers and a hairdryer supplied.

Up the sweeping staircase again and you will be taken 400 years back in time as the top landing leads you to three quirky and magical bedrooms:
Bedroom 2 – Large Kingsize
A huge king-size bed with deep studded tall velvet headboard and luxurious bedding. The room also features a walk in wardrobe, antique furniture, two large sash windows overlooking Micklegate, and fabulous contemporary lighting.
Bedroom 3 – Twin
A magical twin bedroom with exposed beams, French antique side tables, a full length mirror with hanging space, and enchanting lighting. A central sash window overlooks Micklegate.
Bedroom 4 – Double
Quietly situated at the rear of the property is another magical bedroom with exposed beams. Features a double bed with luxurious tall studded velvet headboard, French antique furniture and some interesting ‘nooks and crannies’.
Family Shower Room
Our very large house shower room features a large walk in slate shower, beautiful peacock tiles, sink vanity unit with matt black and gold accessories throughout. There is also a large French antique marble topped washstand and a traditional high level toilet.
Luxury Amenities Throughout the House
Wonderfully soft white linens, towels, bathrobes, slippers and a hairdryer are all provided for your comfort in every bedroom. And in each bathroom, you’ll find gorgeously scented, vegan and paraben-free toiletries which have been created locally by H2K of Harrogate.
Additional Information
Heating:
Independent controls for each floor.We set the thermostats at a constant, comfortable 20 degrees C. Please advise us prior to arrival if you would prefer a higher or lower temperature.
Pets:
Two small, house trained dogs are welcome to bring their owners. Dog bowls are provided under the kitchen sink.Please advise us prior to arrival if bringing pets as there is a small surcharge of £30 per pet (per booking, not per night).
Parking:
There is lots of short stay street-parking either outside the house on Micklegate, opposite on Prior Road, or behind on Toft Green whilst you load or unload your vehicle. These are for a maximum of two hours. There are three car parks within a 5 minutes walk,the closest is Nunnery Lane which is £22 per 24 hours depending on how many nights you are staying for.

Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the property(see terms and conditions)
Short Breaks
Accepted all year round.
Facilities for Babies and Young Children:
We have a high chair for babies located in the walk in storage room in the kitchen (closest to the windows). A travel cot is also available and should be requested prior to arrival.
We also provide electrical socket protectors. Unfortunately it is not possible to provide a stair gate due to the large size of our main staircase, and the wide space between spindles on the top landing. It is therefore essential that you keep a close eye on babies and young children at all times, and remember to close doors as you enter and leave rooms.
WiFi
We have excellent WiFi throughout the property.The code for the WIfI is in the Welcome Pack located in the kitchen upon arrival.
